Financial aid for prospective graduate students!
Students having good academics and exam scores qualify of this position
depending upon availability. Most of the Research assistantships (RA) include
a tuition waiver along with a monthly stipend. The amount of stipend could depend
upon the project duration or the amount of funding involved n the project.
Some universities waive the out of state tuition fee and the
student pays the in state fee, which is substantially lower than the international fee.
The students then sign a contact with the department and conducts research with the professor.
The teaching assistantship (TA) also provides the same tuition waiver
and a stipend for students who get accepted with the department. In return the student
teaches labs for various courses to undergraduate students. The department typically
expects the students to have take the course and to have a achieved good standing for
being considered for these positions. The student could also become a grader and earn a
monthly salary depending upon the number of hours he or she grades the papers for.
Sometimes the prospective students could land into graduate assistantships
(GA) given by other various departments. Most of the GA's also include a tuition waiver along
with a small stipend. We advise all students to have common office skill sets and this could
possibility help them to get funds from other depts. such as in Business, health, affairs etc.
We also advise prospective students to contact members for the ISA or students from the departments to verify the availability of RA's, TA's or GA's.
